We're very lucky to have some talented and devoted techies in this country who are prepared to share their valuable knowledge with us. Our aim is to bring these SQL Server experts to Bristol so we can learn from them and their experience.

Bristol is an easy-going, friendly and relaxed bunch, we often have beer and pizza at our meetings, then head to the pub for a pint afterwards. This is an opportunity to chat to other attendees over a beer or two and ask the speakers any questions.

I'm priviledged to be a founder of the SQL Server Club User Group. By day I'm a Microsoft certified MCSA SQL Server developer, and at night I'm a member of the SQLRelay team, a volunteer at SQLBits and a technical writer.
I co-authored What's New in SQL Server 2012 with Jon, and understand the importance of community networks to deliver content and friendship. Great presentations make a great evening out for us techies and so I hope you register and that I see you at a meeting very soon!!

I've been a development and production SQL Server DBA for over 15 years, having previously been a Windows developer. I recently attained the Microsoft MCP and MCITP qualifications and an Msc in Business Intelligence at Dundee University, the first course in the world of its kind.
I presented a grok talk at DDD Southwest in May 2009, participated in the Microsoft Speaker Training event in Reading in August 2010, presented at SQLBits in April 2011 and SQLRelay 2011. As a keen speaker I look forward to sharing my experiences with you at future user group meetings.
